Resource Spotlight–

If you haven’t checked out the Publisher’s Weekly website lately, I urge you to do so. Visit it often. Most of the articles and information may not deal directly with what you’re writing but it’s all part of keeping up with what’s happening in the industry. And as we know, editors and agents want authors who know what’s going on, who are aware of the changes and trends in the publishing world.

But the value of many of the articles can be found in the fact that they will give you ideas and inspiration for your own writing or marketing. It’s amazing what you can learn from what others have done or are doing.

Also, sign up for their e-newsletters. A very good and helpful one is their “Religoin BookLine” newsletter.

Log on to and browse the archives or do a search for some information you’ve been hunting. Read their book reviews and keep up to date with bestsellers. Their industry resources page is also very helpful and packed with useful information.
