Don’t get scammed!

Terry Whalin over at The Writing Life has posted a great piece on being wary of not-so-ethical agents and their questionable practice of charging for certain services. If you’re on the hunt for an agent I know how easily desperation can set in. So when agent X comes along promising great stuff with only a minimal fee you say, “Hey, why not? If it’ll get my manuscript in front of editors.”

Terry’s post outlines fees agents can charge and fees they should not be charging. Before you sign anything with an agent, read Terry’s post. It may save you some money, but more importantly it may spare you from learning a very valuable lesson the hard way.
