A Blessing in Disguise
I know I talk about the negatives of this cancer a lot on this blog, the emotional impact, the spiritual impact, the physical impact, the treatment and its weird and annoying side effects, but, you know, there have been some positive aspects as well. Some blessings in disguise.
Believe it or not, God really does work in some strange and mysterious ways.
The positive, and the blessing, has been people. Through this cancer I’ve met more people who have impacted my life than I ever thought possible. I’ve been reunited with old friends and old classmates from high school. I’ve had complete strangers email me and tell me they’re praying for me every day. We’ve had needs met, problems solved, kids taken care of . . . you name it. If it needed to be done, someone has been there to do it. And it’s still going on.
Time and time again I’ve been blown away by the support and love and caring of God’s family.
Amazingly, through this cancer I’ve been blessed. Strange and mysterious, I know.
