Emotional Havoc

I’m finding out just how much this Xeloda (pill form of chemo) wreaks havoc on my emotions.

This past week I’ve been up and down emotionally, overly sensitive, moody, and weirdly sentimental. There have been no noticeable physical side effects (thank you, Lord), but the emotional ones are very strange. It’s wearing on me and my family.

Hopefully, in a few days my body will adjust and balance itself again.

Hi Mike -Chemo drugs can have bizarre side effects. At least you know it’s not you; it’s the drug. Like you said, there’s an end in sight. Your body will adjust and balance itself out.For someone on chemo, you’ve been writing some terrific posts.Blessings,Susan 🙂

  2. Sounds like you’re PMSing! Not to make light of your side effects, but I think every husband should go through some emotional upheavals every now and then. Just keep in mind you’ll be a better husband when all this is over!!!
