On Fighting the Recession and Going Hasselhoff
A few updates, thoughts, whatever . . .
I’ve gone international and didn’t even know it. According to my publisher, my novel, The Hunted, is available in markets in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Netherlands, the United Kingdom, South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, and some small Asian markets. Hey, if I can be as popular in Namibia as David Hasselhoff is in France I’ll be doing okay.
I took the girls shopping for Mommy on Saturday and I think someone forgot to tell Joe Public we’re in a recession. We went to the mall and the joint was hoppin’. If people aren’t spending as much this year, it ain’t happening in little ‘ole Hanover. The green stuff was flying.
I’m starting my last week of chemotherapy. For a while there I was beginning to think this week would never come. Now that it’s here I have mixed feelings: joy, relief, anxiety, even fear. When I’m officially done, I’m gonna party like it’s 1999 . . . oh, wait, that doesn’t work anymore.
