Technology and the Body of Christ

Now that this chapter of my life is closed it’s been cause for much reflection. I’ve been thinking about the role technology plays in the body of Christ. It seems weird to be talking about something like this but think about it: if I didn’t have the Internet and if I didn’t have this blog many of you would never have heard of me or my battle with cancer. Many of you would never have had the opportunity to bless me and my family with prayers, words of encouragement, verses, and much exhortation. I would not have had the great honor of meeting many of you, of learning a little about you and your own struggles.

Technology can be a good thing. It can bring people together.

In this instance, in my circumstance, the Internet has played a huge role in bringing the body of Christ a little closer and of allowing Christians to use their gifts to strengthen the body.

It’s amazing that I can feel so close to so many of you without ever meeting you face to face. Our common bond, of course, is the Holy Spirit. And someday we will all meet face to face.

What a sweet day that will be.

Thank you . . . all of you . . . for holding me up, supporting me, keeping me going when the road was rough and journey sometimes seemed unbearable. I mean it when I say I’m not sure I could have done this without you.

Hi Mike -Technology is neutral. It’s how people use it that determines whether it brings good or evil. In this case, it certainly brought about good.I’m grateful to the Lord for causing our paths to intersect. It’s wonderful to see you come through this challenge and rejoice with you. Mom and I continue to pray for you and your family.Blessings,Susan 🙂
