Praise and Prayer Friday

Another Friday has come and I’m looking forward to seeing what God has put on your heart today. Share with us what great things God has done this week and what burdens you carry. I know there are people who read this blog who pray for each request that is posted and rejoice with each praise. It’s a time of bonding for all of us!

I have a few praises. One, my week of work went very well. I think I’m really going to like this new job. Two, yesterday I did a half hour interview with Larry Hauer, director of Campus Crusade for Christ’s nationally syndicated radio program, “The Lighthouse Report.” He wanted to talk to me about my vision for Scream to be used as an evangelistic tool. And three, both The Hunted and Scream are right around the corner from going into a second printing.

As a request, please pray that next week goes well at work. We do all our documentation on a laptop and next week is my week to learn the software and the ins and outs of the computer system. Every tells me it’s a very stressful and frustrating time.

So what’s on your heart?

  1. Rough week. We brought college son home last Sunday — he was sick, running high fever (hit 105 on Tuesday). Good friend had surgery for a major sinus tumor that he happened upon almost by accident. Work was rough –the sheer volume of it was overwhelming; normal internal politics decided to intensify to major proportions; feeling beaten down while trying to encourage others as they struggled. It was just hard. Big and small things to be thankful for: college son is vastly improved — got him back to school last night (250-mile round trip). The friend got through surgery with relatively small side-effects. I squeezed an hour bike ride in on Wednesday evening. Working son (out in Phoenix) is getting protective of his family (us) as he gets older. Thanks for this, Mike.

Praise for the awesome way God takes care of us all the time, no matter our blunders and fumbles in life.Prayer for my husband who is a church music director beginning the very busy and stressful Holy week leading up to multiple Easter services. What an awesome job he has but the added expectations on his time during this season is challenging.
